Installation Requirements

Power

Having a stable and consistent power source is critical to the functioning of the machine. Fluctuations in power can cause unexpected reboots and can cause issues with the reliability of the machine

We recommend a 15 Amp dedicated circuit to power the machine and screen.

Machines are equipped with a Uninterruptible Power Supply battery but it is not intended to keep the machine running under variable power conditions, its purpose is to protect the integrity of the machine by safely shutting down when power is lost

Internet Connectivity

Machines are equipped with an onboard router that can be connected via Ethernet (wired), Wifi, and Cellular

The faster and more stable the internet connection is to the machine, the more reliable it will be.

We recommend a minimum of 5MB per second internet speed. This can be tested from the site using speedtest.net

• Wired Connection
  

  
  This is the fastest and most stable way of connecting and is preferred where possible

  • username and password for access need to be provided by the time of the installation date

  
  Additional helpful information to include would be the IP address as well as any security protocols or requirements that need to be taken into account

  
  

  Ethernet is plugged into the WAN port of the RUT device.
  
  
  

• Wifi Connection
  
  Its important to check the wifi signal strength from the proposed location before installation - in some cases additional external antennae are needed to boost the signal and maintain the minimum data rate.
  • Wifi Network Name and ID, Username, Password and any additional information need to be provided by date of installation
    
    
• Cellular Connection
  
  The quality and speed of the internet connection on mobile data is largely dictated by the cellular network coverage for the location of the install. Primarily cellular is used for setup when another option is not available and there are additional costs associated with running a machine using only cellular data.

Physical Dimensions

The machine requires a doorway at least 34" wide to fit through - please measure all doorways prior to installation

Environmental Considerations

The vending machine should be installed with the screen out of direct sunlight and have a covering to protect the machine from snow, rain and other adverse weather conditions.
