Set up Moneris UX301 Device

Note: This guide assumes you have already physically installed the device into your machine. The User manual for the UX301 is attached to the end of this article

Please note relevant passwords will be supplied by SMRT1

Dealing with anti-removal switches.

If you see one of these displayed on the pinpad

1. Press the little button on the back of the device below. We'll be calling this service button.

2. Press reset when prompted, then enter password for the switch. ******* for switch 1, ******* for switch 2.

Setting up the device for use

Now we just configure the software.

If you just came from dealing with the anti-removal switches, continue, else press the service button on the back and start from here.

1. Navigate to Supervisor and enter the password provided.

2. Select Run App by scrolling or by pressing 7 on the pinpad.

3. When you see the below screen, press the FUNC key on the pinpad twice to take you to the setup menu. d

4. Select ECR COM, choose USB SER, return to setup menu.

5. Select SYNC WITH MONERIS and enter your 13 digit MID when prompted (should start 00). This will trigger an initialization process. 

NOTE: Steps 4 and 5 can be done remotely via /api/tms-init-moneris followed by /api/init-moneris if using a UX301 (chip and pin) device.

Enabling progress tokens

NOTE: To be improved

Finally, do a get request on /api/set-progress-tokens to enable progress tokens. Check /api/get-progress-tokens to see if this was successful.
